Problem: The US has nearly 40,000 gun-related deaths per year

Adjusting for population, the US has 6 times as many gun-related homicides as Canada, and nearly 16 times as many as Germany. The frequency of mass shootings has been on the rise in the last few years. These shootings regularly make international headlines, and since they can happen anytime anyplace, they have kept Americans increasingly on edge of when another one might happen.

Solution: Stricter gun control laws (obviously)

Every time one of these mass shootings happen, we go through a cycle of grieving, followed by argument over what is to blame for the shooting, but nothing happens. While we can attribute these shootings to extreme economic despair or mental decline, which should be repaired by some of the other chakras like Value and Health, we should have a conversation on how to deal with guns directly. States with stricter gun control laws, and less guns in general, have been shown to also decrease gun-related deaths, especially suicides.
